Miranda, the star dancer: a challenge for the soul

Vazart - Miranda, la bailarina estrella

A few months ago I received a very special call from a mom who loved VazART® products, with a unique request: an accessory for her little Miranda.

You know that I love challenges, and I thought it was fantastic to get to work on the request from Atala, the mother of this story's protagonist.

Capturing the essence of a parent eager to give their baby the best gift is the first step to meeting expectations. Atala told me that since the twelve-week ultrasound, she couldn't help but notice how Miranda moved her legs (in fact, it was her husband who suggested that Miranda would be an artist), and that's where they began to weave their fairy tale of ballerinas.

Creativity is supported by the dream of loving parents

The color palette and decor of Miranda's room suggested violet and pastel tones, and that was my starting point for creating. I already had two relevant aspects for what was to come: her role as a ballerina and the color that identified her upon arriving in this world.

Initially, I thought about making a wind kite. When I considered Miranda's story, it seemed more than appropriate that the kite's tails would resemble a ballerina's moving tutu, but Atala had something else in mind, so the wind kite idea was discarded.

You go from euphoria to frustration in a second. When you have a conceived idea and you start to develop it, having it rejected is usually complex. However, my ability to adapt to situations and, above all, to fulfill my clients' expectations makes me want to take on true challenges, as I mentioned at the beginning of this blog post.

Goodbye wind kite, welcome teether

A few months passed and Miranda was a little older. The wind kite had lost its chance, and making a necklace for the mom wouldn't work at all; the gift was for the baby.

Miranda, in her new stage, wants to put everything in her mouth. Voila! Welcome teether, the perfect accessory for this moment in her life.

I keep thinking, my brain doesn't stop for a second. Everything becomes clearer at each stage of the journey: the ballerina as the central axis of the story, the violet color to represent Miranda's identity, and now the desired object, a teether that meets her needs, but also splendidly tells the story of the little one.
An artistic movement that I love as a source of inspiration

To achieve the feat of telling the story in a teether, I turned to Impressionism, a pictorial and artistic movement that I adore. The work of Edgar Degas seemed more than appropriate due to his repeated tendency to paint ballerinas rehearsing, performing their dance, or simply resting from practice in a grand hall.

All of this, plus a particular work by Degas, led me to create the final concept for Miranda's gift.

L´etoile, the star, was the painting chosen for the creation of the teether. The star dances alone, a protagonist (like Miranda), ethereal, as if flying, while the white of the dress blends with each arabesque she performs.

And I imagined Miranda wearing a beautiful white tutu, with her violet and pastel tights, performing the wonderful steps of the ballerina, illuminated by the light of the spotlights that acclaim her.

The result: a teether finished with a white, shiny star point, honoring the fluffy and voluminous tulle tutu and, of course, our "prima ballerina," little Miranda.

A work completed to the rhythm of art and ballet

You might ask yourselves why I'm telling you this story. Well, VazART® is not just a production line where I'm concerned with pretty colors and innovative shapes.

Behind these personalized orders from my clients is a whole creative process that I accompany with ideas, sketches, stories, dreams, and research, and parents are the happiest when they see their wishes for a beautiful gift for their children materialized in each accessory and sensory jewel I create.

That's how I brought the rosary for Rosario to life, another great challenge, and now I take on this new challenge for Miranda, the dancing star, with the same love.

While VazART® began with the idea of nursing necklaces, today we have many more products that moms adore and that babies need to soothe their teething discomfort, scratch their gums, or just for fun.

This teether made for Miranda is crafted from food-grade silicone, BPA-free, FDA-certified, and as you already know, it contributes to the development of fine motor skills and the sense of sight and touch.

Atala is thrilled. She sent me her thank-you notes, letting me know that reality exceeded expectations and that Miranda, for her part, will have a completely personalized and unique accessory with a story to tell.

I will never tire of thanking all of you for the support and trust you have placed in me and my company to give your children all the love through our sensory jewelry, toys, and accessories. Thank you also for the opportunity to take on challenges that further expand the limits of my creativity and for the affection you show me in each of your comments.

Tell me what you think of these personalized challenges for these beautiful little ones and if you would also like your babies to have this privilege. I would be delighted to design the most beautiful pieces for my entire VazART® community.
