Each stage of our babies has been captured in one of my necklaces:
For stage one, I have designed simpler necklaces as they are just beginning to explore the world. In the first months of life, all five senses are ready to receive stimuli and process basic information.
These necklaces are easy to grasp and allow early exploration thanks to their different colors, basic shapes, and textures. They also promote the development of fine motor skills and stimulate sight and touch.
For stage two, I have designed them with more adventurous babies in mind. These necklaces are larger, and their shapes can be thicker as they can already grasp objects perfectly and pass them from one hand to another.
They are starting to satisfy their curiosity, and so they bring objects to their mouths. They begin to suck and nibble on everything within reach. At this stage, shapes and textures are very important. It's worth reminding you that nursing necklaces are accessories for you, and if your baby explores through your necklace, it should be under your supervision.
In stage three, I thought of necklaces for much more skilled and curious babies, those who already have great motor development and established grasping abilities.
These are necklaces with complex weaves to awaken their curiosity even more, designed in striking colors and with shapes that attract their attention.
I have understood through my designs that it is easier to talk about stages and not ages, because we don't want to pigeonhole babies' progress in discovering the world. Remember that each baby is unique and goes at their own pace, and that is one of the charms of motherhood.
Nursing necklaces aim to encourage exploration and provide a sensory experience for our babies, regardless of their age, but they also make us look beautiful, while we support them and offer them all our protection.
